All black was the mood of this look, shot in Perth city. When doing a single colour look, I always try to have one piece with a little bit of texture and the shoes usually become the feature piece. These CUE trousers have a jacquard finish in a super comfy, stretchy fabric. They are luxurious to touch and have that high-fashion finish that is quintessentially CUE. Paired with this georgette shirt, I was feeling a little bit Mod, so my new Wittner brogues were the perfect masculine/feminine mix to keep the look edgy.

CUE Trousers

If you follow me on Instagram (@huntinginheels), you will have seen the recent post of my new metallic tuxedo jacket, from CUE. This limited edition jacket is one of my favourite pieces in their new FW15 collection. The sparkly fabric is soft to the touch, crafted from the most luxurious fabric, imported from Italy. The tailoring is impeccable and I am just as excited to wear it to work as I am to wear it on a night out.

I am pairing mine with a black sheer shirt and some skinny embossed black pants, both from CUE. This jacket also works well with some slouchy black pants, as the structure of the jacket adds instant polish to any look.

There is nothing like wearing white in Winter. This cropped jacket from CUE’s AW15 collection ticks all the boxes for chic, trendy Winter wear. The perfect cover up for that first Autumn chill. A little Chanel-eque in its boxy structure and elegant details, I would flaunt this number with my favourite LBD and thick opaques or with some sleek leather trousers and a black roll neck sweater.

“Come on Barbie, let’s go party!…..Ah-ah-ah-yeah!” That is how I feel in this feminine pink and fluffy, Barbie inspired look. A symbol of my childhood and my first attempts at styling, Barbie tends to creep in when I am channeling an all girly vibe. The only girl who can pull off pink on pink, I think she would approve of this look!

I don’t own many skirts and the ones I do own are straight or a-line. It took me a while to broach the flippy skirt and I finally caved when I saw this one on sale at ZARA. Not having to invest too much into the trend, I thought I would give it ago. I’ll admit the colour sold me on it, however I had planned on pairing it with a tougher fabric like leather or even adding a masculine shirt to avoid it looking too girly . Well as you can see I did a complete u-turn and paired it with the girliest white fluffy top possible! As I said, Barbie was the inspiration, as it was for Jeremy Scott at Moschino Spring 2015 show.

I think the appeal of Barbie is not just her effortless femininity, unachievable figure or can do attitude, but the fun factor of the clothing. I always had so much fun dressing up my favourite Barbie and there was never a question of being overdressed. So I guess that’s why this outfit appeals to me too. It is fun and flirty and it makes me a feel just a little bit more sparkly!
