This week’s fashion video is a look back at the highlights from the Fall 2015 collections. With the temperatures beginning to drop, here in Australia, I have been yearning more and more for the coziness of soft cashmere and the weight of a wool coat. This quick recap of the designer’s collections didn’t point to any particular trends but rather was a celebration of individual style and styling.
These days we can be inspired by so many elements other than just the designer’s collection. A quick jump on instagram or pinterest offers us a whole new world to explore with people posting images of what they are wearing on a daily basis, along with their individual inspirations.
So the main trend for fashion this Fall 2015…is you!
If you follow me on Instagram (@huntinginheels), you will have seen the recent post of my new metallic tuxedo jacket, from CUE. This limited edition jacket is one of my favourite pieces in their new FW15 collection. The sparkly fabric is soft to the touch, crafted from the most luxurious fabric, imported from Italy. The tailoring is impeccable and I am just as excited to wear it to work as I am to wear it on a night out.
I am pairing mine with a black sheer shirt and some skinny embossed black pants, both from CUE. This jacket also works well with some slouchy black pants, as the structure of the jacket adds instant polish to any look.
70’s without the cheesy disco element, Rodarte’s FW15 collection revived the sequin and reworked Olivia Newton-John’s Grease trousers, all in a modern way. The look was modest and elegant in ways, but with daring sheer fabrics and form-fitting silouhettes.
