DENIM JUMPSUIT | ZARA (SIMILAR)

EARRINGS | LOVISA

SHOES | COUNTRY ROAD

Here is the first glimpse of my trip to Ubud, Bali, last month. A short flight from Perth, Ubud is an exotic paradise that calls for feather light cottons and colourful prints. However with only 7kg hand luggage even the most experienced of packers may struggle. I like to choose items than can translate from day to night, like this denim jumpsuit from ZARA.

The easy to wear and casual nature of the denim make it an instant day time hit. Yet pair it with some colourful heels and a red lip and you are ready to go for a night on the tiles. I just love its versatility. It is so comfortable and light that it makes it perfect for those warmer temperatures too. The wide leg, culotte style trouser and circular zipper tag make for an on-trend nod to the 70’s fever we are currently experiencing in the fashion world.

All Stars

I am back after a brief period offline. Just moved into a new apartment and just got the internet up and running so Ican finally get back to blogging !
Here is an outfit post I wanted to share with you from a Sunday trip I took a couple of weeks ago. I paired my denim shorts with this burgandy, sheer, shirt and Converse for a laid back, different take on American cool. I have to admit I only recently acquired my Converse, August to be exact. I had never considered them a personal style choice but now I see them as a fashion staple !
My sister Claudia has two pairs and with her skinny, long, legs, she even manages to pull off the high top ones. I however stuck to the classic white sneaker ,when it came to my purchase. I love them with any denim, both skinny jeans and short shorts.
Claudia has even gone so far as to design her own ones online. She chose everything from the colours, style and even has her name on them,(smart considering her sisters are always stealing her style!)
The Converse All Star shoe was originally introduced as a basketball shoe in 1917 being renamed the Chuck Taylor in  1923 after basketball player and salesman Charles H. Taylor and since then has been a favourite with both sports and rock stars alike.
What was the deciding factor in me finally coming around to these COMFORTABLE!! fashion footwear……recommendation of my boyfriend….I guess sometimes he’s right !!

The Tourist

Max Mara Spring 2011

Max Mara Spring 2011

Max Mara Spring 2011

I love to travel. I love to visit new countries and be a tourist. But sometimes I don’t take advantage of being a tourist in my own country. However, today on a trip to Dublin I did more than just raid the shops on Grafton street. Taking a more cultural approach I visited the home of one of Ireland’s best exports. No not U2 ! The Guinness storehouse factory.

I was pleasantly surprised by the architecture of the building, with the centre resembling a Guinness glass. It was really modern and the layout of the buliding showed all the old machines for brewing the Guinness. The best part was the top level of the building, which had a bar with a full view of Dublin.

Today was scarily cold, even for Ireland, however, I was a bit more fashion than function in my wardrobe choice. I wore my new pink blazer from primark, which I love love. It reminds me of the bright colours used by Max Mara in their Spring summer collection. I paired it with my sisters Denim shirt, her grey jeans, my pink ballet flats and trusty leopard bag.

I am currently borrowing all of my sisters clothes (not that I didn’t before, its just now I have a good excuse) because I have left all my clothes in Rome as I will be going back there in August. I have to admit its fun having new clothes to work with !

I really enjoyed today and it’s reminded me of how beautiful Ireland is. I have a travelling bug so I think I am destined to roam this earth forever, however Ireland will always have a special place in my heart.
