If you follow me on Instagram (@huntinginheels), you will have seen the recent post of my new metallic tuxedo jacket, from CUE. This limited edition jacket is one of my favourite pieces in their new FW15 collection. The sparkly fabric is soft to the touch, crafted from the most luxurious fabric, imported from Italy. The tailoring is impeccable and I am just as excited to wear it to work as I am to wear it on a night out.
I am pairing mine with a black sheer shirt and some skinny embossed black pants, both from CUE. This jacket also works well with some slouchy black pants, as the structure of the jacket adds instant polish to any look.
This latest look is inspired by the 1950’s with these fantastic gingham shorts from the Made in Australia brand; CUE. You may remember that when I was here two years ago I worked for this brand in Perth and I was fortunate enough to get another job with them since I have come back. The quality of their clothes is of the highest standard and they do the best prints in the finest of fabrics. They also try and make sure that almost all of their pieces are made in Australia, with the fabrics imported from Europe.
This fluffy white top is also from CUE and even though it is getting a bit warm for it here, I just love how fun it is paired with these shorts. It was a great option here when the nights were a bit cooler, a month or so ago. I love any clothing that is a bit tactile as it adds another dimension to the look.
Here in Rome the summer seems to be clinging on, with only a light chill of a winter breeze blowing in the evening. I am taking advantage of the warmer weather by wearing one of my favourite CUE dresses from Australia. I love this dress as it is so light and yet still has the structure that I love. The colour is a blue/purple and I have paired it with my pony hair leopard belt, to add a bit of fun. My flats are a Primark buy, from when I was last in Ireland. A bargain and on trend with the pointed toes. I am definitly overwearing them though, as the small stones of Rome’s streets don’t take well to a heels ! I want to invest in a similar pair, any suggestions?
Hello I hope everyone enjoyed the long Easter weekend. I know I did. It’s great to have sometime off to browse other blogs and work on my own. It seems I am so busy with my new job that I don’t have the energy to go online when I come home. But I will try to improve as I love blogging ! Its addictive !!
Here is a quick outfit post from a couple of weeks ago. It was an easy friday night having drinks at Lorenzo’s cousin’s house. It was a little chilly here. The nights are getting longer and cooler, so it seems winter is on its way. That being said yesterday was in the high 20s.
However as sad as I am for summer to go, I am always excited for a new season which means a wardrobe shake up. The cooler nights are giving me the chance to wear my cropped jacket from CUE, which I bought months ago. I also paired it with my costume jewellery necklace, also from CUE, in my country colours. I fell in love with this necklace and lusted after it for weeks. I even grabbed the earrings as well, after all it would be cruel to separate a set, don’t you think? My clutch is from a vintage store in Rome that I love, in Trastevere. It always had the best branded vintage pieces. This isn’t any particular brand but I was won over by its glossy crocodile skin effect and gold dragon clasp. You can hype the look on lookbook by clicking here How was everyone’s elses Easter?? I love to hear your comments, Love Dani xx
Here is an outfit post from Christmas day. After a BIG dinner with Lorenzo’s family, for my first Christmas away from home, we stopped off at Kings Park to watch the sunset. One of my favourite places in Perth, it gives such a beautiful view of an ever expanding city. Here I am wearing a colourful Aztec print dress I picked up for 16 dollars on sale. It was perfect for the hot weather and comfortable too. I paired it with an old feather necklace from H&M, a tan belt from one of my CUE dresses and woven gold clutch Lorenzo gave me as a gift last summer. My Primark red wedges have made an appearance again. I love these babies, I always get compliments on them and oohs at their staggering height. They have a good thick heel so I feel secure in them.
